Senate Democrats IGNORE Joe Biden Sex Assault Accusations

Senate Democrats are facing increasing pressure not just to take the sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden seriously, but just to acknowledge them at all.

According to a report by the Daily Caller, every single Senate Democrat has so far refused to even accept that the sexual assault allegations have been made against their presumptive Presidential nominee.

In case you missed it, Joe Biden was accused recently by a former Senate staffer of sexual assault in the corridors of the Senate building. Tara Reade alleges that Biden accosted her in 1993, forcefully touching and kissing her, and even penetrating her with his fingers without her consent. Perhaps worst of all, she also alleges that Biden tried to blame the incident on her, saying he had heard she liked him.

Conservative media outlets contacted every Senate Democrat asking “if they would even consider the allegations by Biden’s accuser.” The news outlet reports that every Senate office was given 24 hours to respond to the question, but they didn’t receive one response.

Not a single response, from any Senate Democrat, acknowledging merely the fact that the allegations have been made.

Isn’t this meant to be the party that believes all women? Joe Biden used to say he believes all women, too!

Why not now?

The accusations against Biden hit headlines again last week when The Intercept obtained a transcript of Tara Reade’s mother talking to Larry King on an episode of Larry King Live in 1993. In the transcript, Reade’s mother describes how her daughter was struggling with problems relating to a “prominent senator” in Washington.

Archived footage confirmed the transcript, and Reade confirmed on Twitter that the voice of the caller was, in fact, her mother.

The longer the Democrats ignore the issue, the worse it could get. Some on the Democratic side see it, too. Former Hillary Clinton adviser Peter Daou tweeted on Saturday that Joe Biden should drop out of the race and potentially allow Bernie Sanders to restart his campaign and sweep up the remaining delegates he needs to take the nomination.

Daou argued that defeating Trump “is not optional” and that Biden withdrawing from the race would be the “ethical position” and a “smarter strategy to beat Trump.”

Up until now, no media outlet has asked Biden about the claims.
